Cannot update Symantec Antivirus Corporate HELPPP?

ok i have ver. 8.1 and whenever i try to update, it said that i can't connect online.

P.S. i download the update on the symantec website.... where should i put the file in???

Your company which supplied you with the install, probably has the configuration set to use Live Update against one of their corporate servers. If you don't have connectivity to this server, you cannot use Live Update.

Go to Symantec's website and download the latest virus definitions. They are available as an XDB file or as an EXE. Download the EXE and run it. It will install virus definitions updates.

You will need to manually periodically go through this process.

If you absolutely can't fix it then un-install it and install another one.
