As many as you want. That would cause problems though. Best is to have 2, 1 active and 1 inactive for additional on demand scans.

I have had 7 different AV's on one machine but that was for test purposes only.
One should do if there are too many your pc will become very slow. It is better to try the free ones available and choose the one that suits you best. They'll check your PC every time. Like if you open a folder they'll scan it and in that case both try to scan it. It'll be confusing about who'll scan first. Most of the time they'll quarrel and your PC get extra pressure. So DON'T Do IT.
