Trend micro antivirus?best antivirus software

They test the top AVs every month or so. That will give you a good idea of who is doing well. Trend Micro was the best at one point, but not right now.

G-DATA security's Anti-Virus Kit is currently the top rated anti-virus application, but if you want to save your money, Avast home edition is free and also ranks very highly.

If you want to try out Trend-Micro's Scanning engine (not the entire anti-vurs application) you can freely download sysclean at the Trend Micro Site

You can get the newest virus definition files:

(look for lpt####.zip where #### is the highest number which means its newer).

Trend micro antivirus?firewall

well, i would not get it, i tried it once and my system crashed

i would recomend going to Circuit City and getting CA Internet Security Suite - although it costs about 50 dollars, it has everything you need. - but the firewall needs to be customized. The anti-spyware, anti-virus, and Spam Filter and firewall, will provide the best help. The anti-spyware detects cookies - like myspace (when you log in to it) and other stuff.
It is not bad. Actually the federal government provides it free of charge for federal employees to use on their home PCs. They do this so employees don't bring in viruses on portable media. Not the the government always make the best choices, I think they made a decent one with Trend.
