Is pirated antivirus works the same as orignal and would it help in protecting my computer?

There isn't a guarantee. Pirated antivirus may work, and sometimes it may even update. But you are opening yourself up to a whole world of possiblities. There is no guarantee on pirated software.

I have a few Free Antivirus programs I can reccomend to you.. I have tried all of the following and liked them! :O)

http://www.avast.com/ avast!

http://www.free-av.com/ AntiVir HBEDV

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/ AVG Free Edition

Also, if your willing to experiment (this product as of now is still in testing)

http://www.windowsonecare.com/ Windows OneCare Beta

If your fine with forking over a couple bucks, I have another solution -- I am VERY satisfied with the current version of Norton Systemworks. (http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/... ). This program is worth every cent, you won't be sorry!

If you would like to use Norton Antivirus for Free, that is possible... You will have to download it through the google pack, which URL is provided here:

Also, Check with your ISP (Internet Service Provider). They are the people that connect you to the internet. Sometimes your ISP can provide your with AntiVirus for free. (Netzero, AOL, comcast, etc, do.) :O)

I would be very skeptical about using a pirated version of AntiVirus software to protect your system. In my opinion, security software is the last type of application that you would want pirated. The pirated version could include viruses itself and be modified in such a way not to alert you that it has viruses distributed with it. Pirated software is a bad idea, but pirated software designed to protect your system is very risky.

Why would you want to pirate an anti-virus program when free ones that work just as well will do? Try either AVG Anti-Virus, or AVAST! Anti-Virus programs.
