I have, BT Yahoo anti-virus; this was downloaded free, I also have two that I purchased but after a year they re bill you and they are no better than my yahoo version. I also have yahoo,'disk clean up' and use them both daily

Go to filehippo.com and look at antivirus it will tell you if it is shareware or freeware, freeware is the one you want and just take your pick

Download it and install it.

Its completely free and you just have to get free serial number by filling out a small form on its site.

This serial number is valid for sixty days, and then you can get validated again by filling up the same form again :)

Also, it downloads definitions automatically and always runs in the background protecting your system, so no issues....

Try AVG.COM, they are good,but if you have dial up and your system is slow,then you could get attacked while loading,if broadband ,no problem
I use Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus. It's free, doesn't take up much memory and updates itself.
