AVG is the best.I got the paid version on my laptop,pc and media on the 3 licence.It scans automatically each time i turn any of them on. The free version is just as good.Go with AVG.
use avast, type avast in google and get the free one for home users
For my money AVG has about the best Anti-Virus program on the market. Weather you get a paid subscription or use the free version. Before installing AVG remove all your old Norton programs and files, and if possible even from your registry.
Avg is good,And for future reference to remove Norton you will have to go to their website to download the automatic removal tool,Add/remove will not do it.
Yeah, I got really angry when I had to pay for the subscription too. Of course I didn't. I do think that AVG is good, although I have never used it, as there are some good reviews on http://www.download.com and it's one of the most downloaded products. Hope this helps.
If you going to use free Anti-Virus make sure you use a Anti-Spyware program too,and always download from a reputable website like Download.com.
